Online seminar: Progress, challenges and a virtual tour from the ITER TOKAMAK construction site

Abstract
In the Summer of 2020, ITER celebrated the formal start of the TOKAMAK machine assembly phase during a ceremony with representatives of the member states. Now, almost one year later, ITER machine construction has picked up a solid pace and every day more and more components are assembled inside on the TOKAMAK construction site. To explain the scope and what it is to work in such a technical challenging environment along with its day-to-day challenges, ITER TOKAMAK coordination manager Duco Jansen will report. A ‘virtual guided tour’ in the ITER assembly hall will be part of the seminar.
